What are All-On-4 Implants?

The All-On-4 procedure, commonly known as "Teeth in a Day," offers patients the incredible opportunity to have their remaining teeth removed, implants placed, and a fully functional smile restored—all in just one day. This procedure not only improves the appearance of their smiles but also revitalizes their outlook on life. Many individuals facing severe tooth decay, failing dental work, and broken teeth find that All-On-4 is the perfect solution for achieving a brand new smile and resolving long-standing dental issues.
  • Most natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing: Closely resembles natural teeth in both appearance and texture.
  • Permanent: Stays in the mouth without the need for removal, unlike dentures.
  • No long healing times: Ready for use shortly after placement.
  • Uncovered roof of the mouth: Provides a more natural feel during eating and speaking.
  • Superior chewing ability: Delivers the best chewing performance among full arch or full mouth replacement options.
  • Ideal for individuals with limited bone: Suitable for those who have been informed they lack sufficient bone for traditional implants.
  • Enhances your food tasting experience!

How it Works

This procedure involves extracting any remaining teeth, placing 4-6 implants per arch, and attaching a low-profile bridge. The implants are angled to avoid the sinuses, eliminating the need for bone grafts and lengthy healing times.

Our doctors have refined the All-On-4 procedure to achieve better patient outcomes. At Cocalico Dental, we customize treatment to fit each patient’s unique anatomy. Your doctor will place four to six implants per arch and install temporary fixed bridges while your implants integrate and your mouth heals. Once healed, your final teeth will be crafted from zirconia, a stronger and more lifelike material than acrylic. Zirconia is also more hygienic, stain-resistant, and provides a longer lifespan and superior aesthetics compared to acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges.

Am I a Candidate?

Most patients, including those who have been previously informed they lack sufficient bone for dental implants, can undergo this procedure. To avoid the sinuses and utilize the strongest bone, our doctors will employ a combination of straight and angled implants. This technique typically eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming sinus augmentation bone grafts. During your complimentary consultation, your doctor will perform a thorough assessment to determine if All-On-4, also known as "Teeth in a Day," is the right option for you.

When it comes to caring for your teeth, we’ve got you covered! Our experienced dentists and in-house lab technician collaborate to help you achieve the perfect smile you’ve always wanted. All-On-4 Procedure Timeline

The All-On-4 procedure typically takes 4-6 hours, depending on whether you're having one arch (upper or lower) or both arches treated. After the procedure, you'll leave with your temporary bridge(s) securely attached to your new implants. These temporary bridges will remain in place for about 4 months to allow your implants to integrate with the bone and for your gums and jaw to stabilize.

Following this healing period, we’ll begin crafting your final bridge(s). This process involves several appointments over 5-6 weeks, during which you'll work with us to design your ideal smile for your permanent teeth.

1

Mouth Impressions

Using these impressions, the lab will create your temporary implant bridge(s). If you are missing most or all of the teeth in the treated arch, the doctor may recommend a wax try-in. This mock-up of your temporary implant bridge allows us to evaluate bite position, aesthetics, and make any necessary adjustments before finalizing your bridge.
2

Procedure

The procedure typically takes 4 to 7 hours and includes removing any existing teeth (if necessary), placing the implants, and fitting the temporary implant bridge(s).
3

Post Op #1

The day after your procedure, we’ll assess your healing progress and address any questions you may have.
4

Post Op #2

Three weeks after the procedure, we’ll remove the sutures, check your healing progress, and, in most cases, clear you to start using a water flosser or WaterPik.

6

Try In

Five to ten days after your impressions, we will try in a mock-up of your final teeth. Multiple wax try-ins may be needed to ensure you are completely satisfied with the design. Once the wax try-ins are finalized, no further changes can be made. If changes are requested after the final bridges are fabricated, a full-cost remake charge will apply.
7

Seat Final Teeth

After you approve your wax try-ins, it typically takes 4-6 weeks for your final bridges to be ready for placement.
