  • Remember to brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste to remove food particles and plaque. Don't forget to brush the top of your tongue to eliminate plaque-causing particles and maintain fresh breath!
  • Don't forget to floss between your teeth every day and think about using mouthwash to get rid of bacteria and maintain fresh breath. Harmful bacteria that lead to tooth decay can lurk in the gaps between your teeth that your toothbrush can't reach. Flossing and using mouthwash can help remove plaque and food particles from these areas and below the gum line.
  • Remember to consume a balanced diet and reduce your consumption of sugary snacks. Opt for nutritious options like raw vegetables, plain yogurt, cheese, and fruits to support optimal oral health.
  • Remember to schedule your dentist appointments every six months for a professional teeth cleaning.
  • Ask your dentist about dental sealants, a protective plastic coating that can be applied to the chewing surfaces of your back teeth to prevent decay.
  • Don't forget to ask your dentist about specialized mouthguards designed for athletes to protect your teeth during sports activities.

Please contact our practice to schedule your next dental checkup if it has been six months since your last appointment!
